why oh why... that pic of ben is unneccesary Thanks to Madison who put us all in food comas as usual. Im upset we couldn't have a rematch of the fall 3rds especially as it didn't happen in DC either, but big props to chicago and their mercenary, athough you do realize we had a one broken toe, one broken fork/head, and me on a different bike...just saying...free agency and salary caps may have to be brought up in discussions soon;) can't wait to see everyone again this summer at friendlies and the big tourneys! -capt. jake » reply |
Many ThanksSubmitted by Anonymous on Tue, 2008-05-06 22:08.
I just got home from the best trip/vacation I can remember, and I was in Maui a couple months ago. I felt very much at home and welcomed in the great city of Madison. All the folks who I meet and spent time around, thank you. I don't know what else to say. just ask Ben, I'm severely socially awkward. and that transfers over to saying how much I like the people I spent the last 4 days with. Thank you. » reply |

Broken toes and twisted forks and free agents aside, that was some tight polo. I'm in love with the long court, Mad. Always the best hosts. Tastiest eggs in memory. Thanks to whoever gave me the cable cutters. Jonny, I've never been checked like that mid-court, that was awesome. Joe's been wearing the same smile four days straight. Really, we just had a blast. Many sincere thanks. -Ben » reply |

GRUDGE MATCH! Jonny, Ben, Kevin MAD vs. Jake, Joe, Cranldle MKE In Chicago maybe (neutral court?). The Rumble in the Humbol(t Park)? We'll warm you up with some friendlies, and then it's a cage match to the death! Best of Seven! Play till you drop! Have the satisfaction you've dreamed of, or more of the humiliation you've grown accustomed to. Pick a date before Crandle moves and we'll make it happen. We'll even get a bunch of thrift store mattresses to put up on the fence so Joe can play full bore. » reply |

unfortunalty i'm assuming the only time this would be able to happen would be this coming weekend because crandall is moving the end of this month. Eric is also not yet in 100% riding condition due to the toe injury. but Every Midwest Polo player is invited to Meg and Eric's going away party/brunch this sunday then to polo afterwards -Jake » reply |

Thanks to all...
What a great weekend. Big ups to the perfect hosts, Madison. Just Coffee, Underground Catering, Fork and Spoon, Death's Door Vodka, the liquor store up the street that sold us the replacement for the bottle of Death's Door Vodka that Scotino broke...
All the players, noise makers, and picture takers. I couldn't be happier with the experience even if St Louis had won the Jenny Cup and my car's drive shaft was still whole and attached to the front right wheel.
I'll see some of y'all at the big-deal tourneys this summer, but I want to see all the teams, stragglers, and interested parties in the River City this fall for the Fifth Bi-Annual Mid-West Bike Polo Champeenships.
To the Champs, to the Challengers, to the Court!
