So awesome to see fresh faces, new blood, and an all women's team that kicks ass. Some random things:

1) Tournaments: Saturday October 27 in Milwaukee, and uh, "save the date": June 16-18 2008 at the cycle messenger world championships in toronto, and Labor Day weekend 2008 at the NACCC in Chicago.

2) Bikes: we need some 275mm spokes to fix up some wheels. anyone got quick access to em? It's nice that we all share bikes, but five people have each put in about $150 towards wheels and generously lend their crap out when they're not on the court--one person for an entire year while he's training in high altitude. Jonny has put in countless hours of labour. others have put in a lot of time fixing flats and broken spokes or building their own bikes. please help with $ or labour where you can.

3) Schedule: Jon, rookie of the month, can't play on either Thursday or Sunday. is there anyone else who can't play thursday? maybe there are enough people to also play tuesdays? wednesday sucks for jill, birdie, lief, often for me, and someone else. i don't think i can always play three times a week, but it'd be nice to have the option if there was a consistent tuesday crew.

4) Underwear: Ben needs to start wearing some. Which reminds me...

5) Balls: we could also use another inflatable ball or two. andrew, where did you get that last one? those adidas balls are the best, cause adidas uses child labour and the stitches are closer together.

6) Storage: it's awesome that we can store all our shit and the polo bikes nearby. but those who live at said storage space could use more help schlepping bikes. come to said storage place before games to move stuff down to Reynolds--especially since it might be 3 days/week and the hosts might not be able to make it.

7) i ordered some orange hockey balls à la non-midwest. i also want to make non-midwest polo mallets. anyone got old ski poles, or know where to get gas pipe made from ABS plastic?
